Andrei Kievsky, owner and art director of i-FAUX (former Studio Unique) finds his inspirations in Old World interiors and fine art. Well traveled during years of his work for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Press Agency "Novosty", he decided to start a new career in decorative art in early 90's.
He studied faux finishes and art of plastering at Elisabeth O'Neil Studio and later at the prestigious "Finishing school", NY. His projects soon began to apear in "The New York Times", "The Record", "201 Magazine" and some international publications (See publications or read the Latest Article about our Company).
Soon Andrei started to work with his wife and fine artist Marina Kievsky. Presently she is taking care of the Mural department, customer service and PR. She also runs her own fashion company AUM-COUTURE.
Today Andrei and his international crew of artists have become the leadind experts in commercial and residential application of venetian plaster, faux finishing, stenciling, wood-graining, marbling, gold-leafing, murals and frescoes.
"We carefully listen to our clients and than design custom decorative finishes appropriate for theirs needs," he sais. "We can make our finishes very wearable and easy to clean for commercial projects, create the most sophisticated combinations of colors or offer savy techniques to fit a tight budget".
Andrei's work can be found on both coasts of the United States and in major European cities, including Moscow, Paris, Berlin, Budapest and Prague and continues to grace new locations.
